Lewis J. Yu, DDS

Dr. Lewis J. Yu graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1996. He went on to receive two years of advanced post graduate oral surgery training in both the New York City Hospital System and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The training covered the full spectrum of the specialty. It ranged from dental extraction to facial trauma reconstruction.

In addition to oral surgery training, Dr. Yu further honed his general dentistry skills as the Chief Resident of Albert Einstein Hospital and as the Geriatric Fellow for VA Hospital of Philadelphia. In this capacity, he was responsible in overseeing the training of first year resident doctors while improving his own skills in advanced dentistry such as implants and occlusion.

Upon completion of his training, Dr. Yu and his wife practiced family dentistry together in Pennsylvania until 2005. They provided a full range of services with special emphasis in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Yu and his wife believe in the impact of beautiful smiles can make on people’s lives. To better serve their patients, they continue to upgrade their skills by taking courses with well known institutions such as The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Pankey Institute. Dr. Yu was a very active member of the community. He often visited schools and various community groups to raise dental awareness. Working closely with churches, his office provided free dental care for the under privileged members of the community.

Dr. Yu is a member of The American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and The Delaware Valley Implant Study Group.
